Bar clips are permanently attached to the waterproof case, however the picture above shows an option with the clip and the Dual Lock attached.
These clips will allow the device to be mounted securely on a windsurfer boom, kite bar or other tube of similar diameter (like a carbon tube on an International Moth as per below). |

With this option a large rectangle of Dual Lock is bonded to the back of the waterproof case.
In addition to the rectangle bonded to the case, two mating rectangles are supplied. These pieces of Dual Lock are backed with an ultra high-strength pressure-sensitive adhesive that allows them to be bonded to any smooth surface.
With this option the device can be mounted securely on any flat, smooth surface like the side of a dinghy cockpit.
The Dual Lock allows the device to be easily removed when not in use.
